What it does

Everything it needs to do the job.

SSH connections

Connect with a key or a password and keep a list of your servers.

Remote file browser

Browse files on the server and edit them in a Monaco editor, the engine behind VS Code.

Docker and Compose

List containers and tail Docker Compose logs without leaving the app.

Deploy presets

Save a deploy as a preset and run it in one click.

Integrated terminal

A terminal for the server you are looking at, in the same window.

Optional proxy and AI

A SOCKS or Tor proxy can be set per server. Deploy suggestions and voice input use a Groq key and are optional.

FAQ

Questions about Server Operator (SerOp).

01

Is Server Operator free?

+

Yes. It is open source under the Apache License 2.0, and the source code is on GitHub. The optional AI features use your own Groq API key; the app works without one.

02

Which systems does it run on?

+

macOS on Apple Silicon and Intel, Windows as an installer or a portable build, and Linux as a .deb package. The Mac build is unsigned, so macOS may ask you to allow it on first launch.

03

Who is it for?

+

Developers who already live in terminals and Docker Compose files and want files, containers, logs and deploys together instead of in separate tools.

04

Who makes it?

+

BeForth, a software company in Nashik, Maharashtra. We build custom ERP, CRM and HRMS systems for businesses, and SerOp is a tool we made for our own engineering work.
